First is the leaders we have on the table...after independence, first they amassed wealth to themselves, signed contracts that they didnt understand eg mines belonging to some West based company and cant get out of that contract, then as new leaders came in Walifuata nyayo...didn't do anything to develop their country(or even try to get out of those old contracts), they didnt much care about educating the citizens(just in case they got more clever and chose better leaders). I believe education will be a key to wealth and development in the region. Growth of SME should be the Key to African moving up, (forget those big companies now that's why they are re-branding a lot to try to take new markets which they had earlier ignored). On education, I still believe that Technical schools are important in as much as they are turning them all to Universities, we need well trained Technical Engineers. Financing of SME's is important, giving them affordable loans will help us grow. Most of all we have the responsibility to choose good leader, but here we vote based on tribe, and protecting 'our people', not on what they can do for us and for our future.
You cant win, unless you first begin....
