Good friends.

I'm planning a trip to Dubai sometime next month and I would like to get some tips and more information from those of you who have traveled this road before.

The purpose of my trip is a fact finding mission on possible opportunities for Import/ Export.

It's my first International trip and I am very excited and every bit as green as the color on this website!

What I'd like you to help me with is an idea of how to get the travel documents that I need. Also, where would be an affordable place to stay and can I get a cheaper flight than Qatar or KQ?

As I said,I'm quite green and need all the help that I can get.

God bless

I think only QR flies to Doha. KQ flies to Dubai.

1.you dont have to use emirates or KQ .You can use Air arabia or ethiopian airlines they are chaepaer however for Air arabia it flies directly to Sharja which is about 1 hour drive from Dubai but the difference in fares is quite a bit.Ethipian Airlines does not fly directly to Dubai is stops over In ethiopia.

2 for visa you have two options get it through an airline or a travel agent. With the travel agent you get a 14 day visa for 12,000.The airline visa eg from emirates or air arabia goes for abt 8,000 plus deposit of abt 200$ which is refundable after your return.

3Accomodation depends on where you will stay if you go to Dubai you can stay in the Deira area very affordable hotels abt 3,000ksh per night bed and breakfast.I would recommend Emirates hotel,or Sahari palace thier rates are good.

Hope this helps and all the best in your bishara trip.

Target to go to Emirates hotel in Al Sabkha which has very reasonable rates Bus # 8A from City center Mall or go by taxi (about 25 DHMs from the airport.) In this hotel you will meet a number of Kenyans and other africans who go to Dubai for biashara. In case the hotel is full, there are hundreds of other cheap hotels within the same district.

Qatar Airways does fly to Dubai but via a stopover in Doha. Relatively cheaper than emirates
