want to acquire a Golf V,looking for a manual,1.6/2.0 can consider diesel option.. preferable black/red. Low Mileage..

Can consider importing if its a viable option.

Budget is 800K.

Consider a Passat, comes highly recommended for its agility, enhanced legroom and class. A 2002 1.8T was good to me. I think it'd set you back between that 800k and 1M.

How about automatic. There are more in the market than manual. Like: This one

I'm also curious about how much a VW Passat 1.9 TDi would cost

(something like this one http://www.wisebuyers.co...ions/Volkswagen/Passat+(2001-05)/VW003200/ )

This is for the future (~ 2 years)

@Mkimwa - can you really get a golf Mk V (hehe... low mileage) at less than 1m? Or did you mean a V5 which is 2.3ltr petrol (Mk IV).?

@Tuvok - check here ... as a guide check here http://www.autotrader.co.uk/ If you are not able to access/search,send me an email motobex@ymail.com and I will guide you through on how to search for any vehicle......... ( at the risk of antagonizing my fellow UK/European car exporters).

Cars listed in auto trader are not always as described, you may need more info as to the condition of the car, hence you will need me to check out the car of you choice.

@ JKMwatha..
I want the Golf V. not the golf IV. how much would it cost?

Actually..
When i want to import a japanese car.. there are very many sites/ people to guide along, due to popularity of Toyotas,nissans..e.t.c.

What abt a VW/BMW/audi/Renault/Citreon/Jaguar - those european models.. how does one source them?

@Mkimwa -

Golf Mk5 - post 2003... From £4k (@129) = Ksh520k

As you said the volume/popularity of cars frm Japan... hence competittion etc

Anyway as I showed earlier start off here

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/ Here you will be asked to enter a postcode
Use one of mine NW2 5AB. Ensure you also include the space. ...and you're in! Select details of vehicles you're looking for.

http://motors.ebay.co.uk/ is another site.

Be diligent, dont trust everything you see. There is a lot more you need to know.

Then you need to consider inspection (JEVIC) and Freight and Insurance.

Let me know if you have problems trying to access the sites.
