Hi Wazuans,
So I drilled a borehole last month and I am looking for a Submersible borehole pump so that I can equip it. The borehole is in Loitokitok area and its 90m deep. According to the test pumping data, it can yield upto 30k litres of water a day. Anyone who has experience in borehole equipping and the prices? Share your experiences. Also looking to fit a water tower. I am not looking to spend too much on this,so any ideas on cost cutting measures are welcome.
If you think you can, and if you think you can't , either way, you are right!

@brayokasa4. Congrats on your water project. Never cut corners with water- it will always find its way! If i were you, i would go for the know names for the pump- Davis&Shirtliff, Kirloskar(Sp not sure). The tower is worse coz if it is not well done, it will come down with a great thunder !Get a good steelfabricator to design one and have it properly mounted.

My 2 cents

All the best

Talk to Karnataka. They offer better and cheaper submersible pumps. As for the water tower, get any good structural engineer for advice.

The company which did the job is called
Geo Science . They did it at 6k a meter but depends on the soil structure. They do a good job.

Thank you @Gathige. I actually have previous experience with drilling a borehole and equipping it with a submersible pump and it has stayed for like 4 years without a hitch. The only problem is that the guy who supplied me the pump at the time relocated to another company and I cant find him. I got some quotes from Davis & Shirtliff at the time and they were ridiculously expensive . Talk about a quote for 800k and I ended up getting a pump at 200k which has served me well. Not too sure about Kirloskar (sp) buts its worth checking out. I am thinking of either putting a concrete water tower or a steel one, but I haven't settled on one yet. Thanks for the advice though.
