Safaricom seen raising dividend pay out - http://www.businessdaily.../-/duwbynz/-/index.html Kestrel states the above is expected in 2014 and also mentions a short term price dip... $15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

Turnover @118M with 21.7M shares traded with VWAP currently @5.45/- After days of oversize supply, demand vs supply is equalizing today. 5.30 - 5.40 seems to be the range floor of the correction. $15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

Soon orders @5.05 should be tested. Healthy correction I like

@Angelica - overbought tech readings have reset. @5 - 5.15 techs will be oversold and 2013 gains will nil @5.05. Breaking below 5 will mean bulls are running out of steam as 2013 turn negative for the counter. If it happens 4.80 then 4.40. Below there, it burns...

Quote:As such, other equity counters tend to view any appreciation of its share price positively, as happened last week, when the share shot past Sh5, sparking recoveries in other key stocks. The NSE is expected to recover significantly this year, buoyed by the influx foreign investors, a fall in interest rates, and optimism about an economic upturn. Substandard wrote the above back in Jan 17 2010. MS back then on Jan 13 rated mpesa bank 'overweight' within a range of 4.80 - 6.40. Learning the history through the future! This is how news scanners work; future is history rewriting! $15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

VWAP @5.30 holding up as per expectation as price bounced today with demand slightly more than supply. Taking a breather at this pit-stop until the next up move. $15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

M-Shwari deposits clock KES 2.8 billion ($32 million) http://www.nation.co.ke/...2/-/k0331f/-/index.html It's turning out to be more of a savings product since lending ratio is roughly 10%. But that deposit growth is rapid! CBA balance sheet has bulged and H1 2013 will be interesting to spot this fact. But as a bank the need that lending ratio to spike to make money on those deposits. At some point that lending rate will be slashed to entice the saver. Will it work trying to entice a solid saver into a debtor? And if they slash the savings rate to accomodate a lending cut, will the savers stay put? That's one uphill lending task... $15/barrel oil... Quoting Bob Collymore, "Trends show that it has become more of a savings service than a lending service. This is what we intended since the beginning" That begs the question, is the Mshwari money for investment in T-Bills/Bonds or is CBA to use it to lend in mainstream banking coz clearly lending on Mshwari is not the target. …. Safari/CBA have not told us how they intend to make money from the highly growing Mshwari deposits

All/most of this money will be withdrawn by the owner at one time or the other at 27.5/- or 33/- or more, benefiting GoK and M-Pesa. Can SCOM use this money to finance their activities? This can help reduce the financing cost in the books. Receive with simplicity everything that happens to you.” ― Rashi

Yes sir. Hail Indigenisation, hail Strive Masiyiwa. If you think of a Kenya devoid of sons of the soil like James Mwangi et al then you see the value of locals of the terrain in mainstream economics.
