why i raise the issue is that people usually hear squabbles going on at their neighbour's place then when a pile of bodies are discovered in the morning, they are the first to tell the tv crew what transpired yet disaster would have been averted had they intervened. "love your neighbour as you love yourself". and btw, i have lived in a house where my dad beat up my mum and it was very scary. at that time there's not much i could do since i was a kid. but now, i can't watch as someone else goes through that.

@Gregory sorry but some things are complex and sometimes do not have answers. You probably are still young and do not understand that there is so much that goes on in a "marriage" that you cannot answer with a simple answer.

I'm not saying I support brutality, but you see people sometimes "beat" each other. Are you going to break into people's doors just because they beat each other?
I condemn the killing of each other but just assuming you must go and break into their homes when they fight is immature.

Just another thing.
In future, be careful not to take sides, when you happen to mediate domestic disputes. Even when it's your brother's. They will resolve and start telling each other how you said this aout the other...

And for those who are married:
When you differ with your wife at night, don't let her run away at night, lock the door and hide the key... because she might embarass you.
Just contain her inside and maybe you'll be laughing about it at breakfast table in the morning.

There is a movie called fireproof...and that book love dare, couples should watch and read it together. Maybe each of them would work on their egos, temperament, weaknesses and such others and prevent chaos before it happens...Just like if you are wearing fireproof clothes doesn't mean fire will not come your way, it just means you can withstand the fire. If your marriage is fire proof it doesnt mean issues will not come up, it means together you can put of the fire without damage...

and one important one: NEVER ABANDON YOUR PARTNER, ESPECIALLY IN A FIRE!
