@Akowally, it is interesting to read all the comments on this thread and more particularly the ones that are trying to do the math of who is earning what.

It is a very Kenyan way of thinking. Sadly, it keeps the individual poorer. We need to get selfish to the level of thinking 'if I buy this book and learn, how much will I make', rather than, 'if I buy this book from this seller, how much will he or she make?'.

Thinking about who is making what makes one poorer, thinking what one will gain makes one money. The important thing to buy is the value in the book, or the training. The truth is that the writer makes a very small gain per sale and often give out a lot more in a book than they can charge for.

I am one such writer. I cannot reasonably charge for the information I give out garnered over many years. When you do not buy because you do not want to give money, you lose on the thousands you would have reaped in return for your investment.

Get selfish guys! Buy knowledge! That is why your parents paid school fees! They bought you knowledge, they were not thinking 'how much will this school make, but how much will my child gain'
