SMEP offered 145,454,546 shares for sale at Sh11 each, but sold only 24,241,717 shares, a paltry 16.7 per cent.

They should've done a better valuation

Their approach was wrong from the start...but they realised so tooo damn late and could not withdraw. Competing with Saccos to mop up liquidity in the middle class requires better strategy.

.... and the funny restrictions of you have to open an account with them to buy the shares, surely. that put me off completely. dont have time for that.

who were the transaction advisors and why did they get somebody to underwrite the whole or part thereof of the offer ammount
