If wazua members who have cars stop buying stolen goods, then this will end. In fact, many wazua complainers on this thread can be taken to court for handling stolen goods. The evidence is in their cars.

There is an open channel for storm water passing under KBC compound. This is the thieves main escape route. The time I had my side mirrors plucked andI attempted to follow the thugs, there were others on standby waiting to get into my vehicle and clean the balance. Do not leave your car unless you have a passenger in it. You can call these thieves Nairobi Half lifers.

They plus them even when they have the car reg number, I guess at that time there may not be enough light or time for them to check. I am told they can also rub off the marks. In any case the number is on the mirror and they plug the whole holder off.I am sure they can make money on that alone.

Near the same roundabout (on the extreme left, heading to UoN), their is a gaping hole....the thieves might want you to stop once your car enters in it!! Chunga...

If your car broke down around there at some 'ungodly' hour, i doubt you would be safe.

A few months back a friend of mine was approaching The roundabout at St Paul's with an Avensis from Nyerere Road and was met by 3 guys on the road and one threw a stone partly smashing her windscreen. As she slowed down, one of the guys jumped in front of the car hoping she would stop. She drove on barely missing the thug.
This was 5am... there were no other cars around.

When she reported to Central Police, one of the cops asked her "Unajuaje walikua wakora?"

She obviously replied with an insult.

How things have changed around that roundabout? Back in the day while at 'The', we used to troop back to Hall 9 from Karumaindo at 3-6am and it was 100% safe. You could even walk alone in that tunnel at 3am.

its the demand for the parts that encourages the same, if we just stop buying the stolen stuff the same will stop.
Nobody plucks side mirrors from a bmw or a merc or a jarguar or a range rover - they target specific model because the same guys who get their parts stolen run to the same guys to buy from them.

...our cops are full of shit,most of them know where this parts end huko ma grogan and kirinyaga road they never do swoops nothing they mst likely even recieve tokens from the traders of this stolen parts...they cant even station undercover cops to nab this buggers...sawa you may stop them at museum hill but they will move to another road...the IG should get people to work on this
