This round about is strangely very insecure for motorist driving mirrors. As soon as you slow down especially in the evening kitu 6pm on wards guys approach your car and plug of your driving mirrors. Saw this happen on sato and again two weedks or so ago. lets keep the city saferShame on you

Must be the same people who'll mug you if you walk around there from as early as 7pm. UON students have killed a couple of fellows there.

I also witnessed this happening to a lady who just sat passively as her x-trail was stripped off her right hand side rear view mirror. It is a nuisance.

Why don't drivers come together and stop these guys? Isn't it obvious that by the virtue of you having a car, you have the same problem?
I saw many years ago some drivers at the Westi rounda parked their cars, locked, got out, chased a thief who had removed a light from a Toyota 110 and caught him. The thief's associates took off leaving him behind kissing boots and blows.

We drivers need to be each other's keepers even in town parkings especially now that you'll need to change number plates every time you sell your car and the car is fully tattooed in the old reg. number.

BBI will solve it

You need a catapult and several large ball bearings to deal with such thugs.

in south africa they break your window glass while u are in traffic and take away things by force, its where we are headed since we have cowed the police, they dont want to face prosecution for killing "innoccent" jobless kenyans. before when the flying squad used to fly u wouldnt pluck corner lights at the same spot twice before they stung and killed several of those monkeys.I knew of globe and museum hill but not st paul. A lady fren has just comfirmed her red xtrail was plucked both sides.

Ditto!
Its just a peculiar culture developing, we would rather nip it at the bud now.

Why cant you get out of the car and threaten those guys?

Sitting there in the name of being helpless doesnt help. That is why the trade thrives.

Get a "nyahunyo" in your car, or a Rungu and keep it close, not in the boot smile

its the demand for the parts that encourages the same, if we just stop buying the stolen stuff the same will stop.
Nobody plucks side mirrors from a bmw or a merc or a jarguar or a range rover - they target specific model because the same guys who get their parts stolen run to the same guys to buy from them.

So your solution is to have fake D+ policemen shooting people in the streets?

This is a business. Every business thrives on demand and supply.

If wazua members who have cars stop buying stolen goods, then this will end. In fact, many wazua complainers on this thread can be taken to court for handling stolen goods. The evidence is in their cars.
