how can the masacre on our roads on the roads be missing on wazua? hata kama ni siasa kura zinapotea kwa wingi. I blame the police
corruption .with tu 50/- they turn a blind eye on traffic offenders.
I was impressed when a fellow passenger in a matatu I was in shouted at the driver who was trying some speeding monkey business.the makanga tried to stop this passenger but the rest joined admonishing the driver.after that our journey was nyweee!!!

I still think that it would be a good idea to require PSV's to have a roll cage.

Yes, it is drastic, but it sure will do it's job, should an accident happen.

Then, there are alot of preventative measures that can be put in place, such as those mentioned in the thread below.

...I agree with you and I had earlier said that in one of the posts,I think those mats are structurally not suitable to carry people at such high speeds like rally cars, those anti roll cages would do and side impact bars etc but on a serious note the speeds at which this mats fly is alarming the other day I took a mat to Thika I almost pee-d on my pants, the dere wasnt even looking at the road, hustling for passengers, entering the main road from those side roads without even looking...I really understood why accidents and serious ones take place...its a culture I think we left to get out of hand we might never reverse this...

We must allow GoK to ban the so called Nissan matatus. This vans as we import them are not meant for passengers as designed/built in Japan or wherever and lack safety and comfort.
