Mukiri please. It's Christmas not March 4th. In any case this nonsense will be over by March 7th. Trust me and mark my words. Pray and act towards the same if you are truly Kenyan.

Sad If they can kill a govana candidate, si a man from the wrong side of the slopes would be in jeopardy?

In my visits, I remember Kondele never slept. Infact an article in the dailys wrote about suffering taxi drivers. Kimwa? Impala sanctuary, nice for the family

Thank you @all for the advice. I intend to be in Kisumu on 24-26th dec and explore/enjoy the town. Then spend a day/night in Bondo (after visiting Maseno, siaya & Kogelo), and a day/night each in HomaBay and Migori. It would have been interesting to take the ferry from lwanda kotieno to Mbita then visit Rusinga island and then Homabay but am disappointed the ferry doesn't operate during holidays. How is the night life in the towns i'll be staying in i.e Kisumu, Bondo, Homabay and Migori? Which are the must visit nightspots? Which is a more lively town to spend in - Bondo or siaya?

This mas is simply asking where the busiest airports are and if you have an idea of the landing fees...nyinyi mnampa porojo tu..smile

Don't worry if no ferry (It is usually a 45min ride and you drive inside in reverse-quite an experience!). You can hit Kendu Bay via Katitu on the Kisumu Sondu road. Drive further on to Homabay and then connect to Mbita Point (Atmost 40Kms on graded surface). From mbita point you can drive into Rusinga Island. Tom Mboya's mausoleum is a must visit. Disclaimer: You must sleep under a mosquito net and carry your own airportsmile smile.

Great that you want to travel to the lakeside;
1. The best route to Kisumu is the Narok via Bomet then Kericho. If you use nakuru the ride is not very good from Total all the way to Kericho. There is road construction that been going for over two years. It will take you around 6 hours

Is this route smooth all the way to KSM, what is the condition of KSM-Busia?

From Nairobi to Mai mahiu good road but a lots of traffic(Haulage lorries). The road also steep and with bends.

Mai mahiu , Narok to Bomet, a very nice stretch with climbing lanes where necessary. Very tempting to do over 130 but be ware of cops with speed guns.

From bomet to kericho good road but too many bumps, and Kericho to Kisumu road is good but under construction. Many slow moving tractors loaded with sugar can and many are driver without Indicator lights or head lights. ( Night driving not very okay)

Still in a very bad state but they were patching the road. They last time i used the road there were craters.

Good thought to visit Nyanza,

The road from Homabay to Mbita is being tarmacked...however for now the alternative route is wacha tu...

Whilst in Mbita visit Bimoss hotel where everthing served is big, more so fish.In Mbita there is also the Tourist hotel & ICIPE guest houses.

From Mbita you can catch a ferry to Mfangano...its breathtaking using the new 1st class ferry known as MV Nansio!!!!.Enjoy

And if the parachute fails to deploy for safety landing then a very cold shower in lake victoria is the only hope,Zuma style.

???? I thought I'd get a local airport to 'show me around' since she would be knowing the place well.
