I would like to fit my car with an alarm system.

Any skerians with name and contacts of persons or firms that would carry out the task.

Plus the charges too.

If its just a normal alarm system with the horn and stuff, thats an easy one. personally i bought the alarm fittings and went to my local garage for it to be fitted. Total cost less than 5k.

Becoming number one is easier than remaining number one

@ mburuke,

it is advisable that before you deliver your car for the alarm installation you need to decide what type of protection your car needs in terms of alarms....we have a wide range of them in the market and each serves a certain purpose...the commonest types of alarms are:

Door sensor - this type of alarm protects the door and sometimes hood/bonnet against any forced illegal entry if it is activated.

Shock sensor - this type of alarm is triggered when the car's body is moved or jiggled.

Window sensor - sounds an alarm if a window is broken.

Pressure sensor - activated when the air pressure inside the car is changed. For instance,if a window is broken or a door opened, that would be sufficient to trigger the alarm.

Tilt sensor - this alarm deters thieves who attempt to tow the car or loading it on to a truck/carriers. it is the angle of tilt differential that triggers the alarm.
Vehicle Imobilizer - this type of deterence prevents the car from being started manually or through hot-wire method.

of all the above the vehicle immobilizer is considered the best, however a combination of any of the other alarm systems with the vehicle immobilizer will achieve a more reliable protection and back-up.

Whilst looking for an alarm for your vehicle, you may also consider our higher version of car alarm that takes car security to the next level. What you are looking at is to empower you / the owner to be able to perform various functions that a rogue guys like car track would charge an Arm & a Leg for.

Other than having the main functionality of a car alarm, you will benefit from having the following additional functionality :-

1. Device sends an SMS to car owner and/or tracking service in the event of theft, with GPS co-ordinates. You can inturn feed this into google earth / google maps to pin point location of the vehicle.
2. The owner can then cut off engine power remotely by SMS.
3. Arm/Disarm by SMS or remotes
4. Inquire the car door's status,engine's status,car's location,speed and direction by SMS
5. Anti-robbery with SOS button,call for help
6. monitoring the voices in the vehicle remotely by telephone without those in it knowing
7. Movement Alert by sms (in case the vehicle is e.g. towed away without starting the engine)
8. Geo-Fence Alert - where the vehicle is moved out of a certain allowed radius / boundary (useful for car hires)
9. Over speed Alert (Useful where driver pick & drop children from school).
10. All other function of car Alarms.

Of course if you still want us to offer you tracking services we still can, though you can querry the location of the car,the vehicle will give you feedback with geo coordinates that you input in Google Maps/earth to see location of vehicle.

I can set up a DEMO for you,but only next week as my schedule this week is tight

All the best as you evaluate your options

cheers
