@ mburuke,
it is advisable that before you deliver your car for the alarm installation you need to decide what type of protection your car needs in terms of alarms....we have a wide range of them in the market and each serves a certain purpose...the commonest types of alarms are:
Door sensor - this type of alarm protects the door and sometimes hood/bonnet against any forced illegal entry if it is activated.
Shock sensor - this type of alarm is triggered when the car's body is moved or jiggled.
Window sensor - sounds an alarm if a window is broken.
Pressure sensor - activated when the air pressure inside the car is changed. For instance,if a window is broken or a door opened, that would be sufficient to trigger the alarm.
Tilt sensor - this alarm deters thieves who attempt to tow the car or loading it on to a truck/carriers. it is the angle of tilt differential that triggers the alarm.
Vehicle Imobilizer - this type of deterence prevents the car from being started manually or through hot-wire method.
of all the above the vehicle immobilizer is considered the best, however a combination of any of the other alarm systems with the vehicle immobilizer will achieve a more reliable protection and back-up.
