Confidence we had under baks. With the prospects of two suspects ready to take kenya down with them, don't be surprised of the diffidence by a majority of Kenyans. Indoctrinated? Ethnicity perhaps. I am confident of myself, whether Kibaki, or the suspects want it or not. Sovereignty must begin with the individual. I will give to my country, and to humanity the best that I've got, and can. Development is getting the results I want for Kenya. Development is what the Kenyan gets from his endeavours.

Hapo you have won! actually this is an example of how some pass bad judgements upon themselves or others as ' backward Africans' or 'primitive' without due cerebral exercise. Kudos! Ras Kienyeji Man

That image should have taken at midnight in each time zone then put together. The picture is dead accurate, the dark areas in Brazil is the Amazon ahile the dark areas in Australia is the outback. Makes perfect sense. As to which technology to adopt, my take is we certainly need to go with the most efficient technology that will pass the test of time. You may go for coal only to end up with no spareparts for the generation machines because coal use will have been banned in the west. but thats just my 2 cents. Most mining is done in the outback isn't it? And mining is a major contributor to global warming, right? But the area is dark. About the Amazon, droughts and increased human activities are said to be adding to global warming. But the area is dark. What is the premise of this thread? I thought the map indicated the lighting of the world when viewed at night and not global warming as such. one of the greatest contributors to global warming (green house gas emmission) is the good old cow and I am sure the lit areas do not represent areas with large cattle populations. Anyway, coal mining is not as biger a contributor to global warming as say people in cities using electricity for everything. Its disturbing that you sit in front of a computer and don't get it. your most important contribution to support your conspiracy theory is that the world is round. The photos can be taken at different times then put together. "The purpose of bureaucracy is to compensate for incompetence and lack of discipline." James Collins

Are you guys serious? Yes Africa is dark, really dark at night and those who have flow in at night will tell you that. Somehow there is something wrong with our lightings or something to do with bulbs even JKIA parking lot is dark at night even when the lights are on!
Yes, you'll be frighten if you've been out of the country for long because the place is actually dark.
Now the physics will tell you that, North America somehow have clear skys at night and that help reflect light back to the earth while africa have dark skys and absorb most of the light.

Yes its true, Africa is really dark at night. But surely Nrb is not dark from the skies...the next beam of light is spotted in Naks then Major blackout till u fly over egypt, and tunisia. Now, explain ur physics. Why doesnt it work for Europe, yet they dont have clear skies? "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. Assuming the picture isn't a cut and paste job, and given the above observations, I suppose we are seeing a balance of polarity of North and South, darkness and light, activity and passivity. Thus we may indeed be talking physics expressing the law of conservation, which must involve duality, and that time is a fiction. And if it's a cut and paste job, then it must be a subjective argument.

here are some other photos, http://earthobservatory....ards/event.php?id=79869
the methodology has been outlined... Quote: The images come courtesy of the Suomi NPP satellite which photographed the Earth for nine days during April 2012 and 13 days in October 2012. In total, it took the satellite 312 orbits around the Earth to gather all the information used for the images, and now you can click through them at your leisure to find any location on Earth.
