Those above the 50 per cent mark include
Lamu, Kiambu, Nairobi, Muranga, Nyeri,
Kirinyaga, Kajiado, Nyandarua, Kisumu and
Siaya.
Others are Nakuru, Tharaka, Homabay,
Laikipia, Embu, Vihiga and Busia.
In Lamu, 34,551 of a possible 47,338
voters have registered while in Kiambu,
518,667 out of an estimated 756,774
people and Nairobi has seen registration
get to 990,127 out of a possible 1.4
million.

This election will be won on these grounds; Voter registration and mobilization for voter turnout on election day. Voter motivation is essential for the first and resources will be necessary for the latter.

Is there somebody in Wazua who is interested in research. I have some interesting hypothesis that you can seek to test in this whole election registration and voting period.

Here they are:
Percentage of voter registration per county is directly proportional to percentage of people with mobile phones in that county. (I dont know whether Safcom keeps such statistics as mobile phone registered users per county)

Voter turnout is directly proportional to the number of border border motorbikes in the county. (I think the vehicle registration department would have addresses of border border owners)

I may very well be wrong. These may not be determinants at all but I would be interested in finding out what other correlations there are. Something that can in future be used to predict turnout.

the cord and jubilee alliances must mobilize their supporters before closure of registration. They have more to lose than the IEBC.Using the statistics of registration jubilee alliance would easily win if tribalism persists to the ballot.

anything below 12 million and cord do not stand a chance even if UK is presidential candidate of jubilee

Could it be possible that the voter register that IEBC is using as a benchmark has suspect data?. Why would somebody who voted in 2007 GE and 2010 referedum fail to register this time round.
