New dad; this is too close to the due date to be searching for a hospital! Where have you been the last seven months?

Nonetheless,I would recommend Kijabe Mission Hospital. They have some of the best doctors and nurses in the country and also some of the best equipment in case of emergencies.

Add to that the lowest cost. Three years ago my wife went there for a scheduled C-S. The total cost including all drugs and two pre-natal visits came to under 30k. yes less than Sh30,000!!!!!

And it only came to that because we stayed (YES BOTH OF US) private room

If there are no complications and you are a member of NHIF,it will cost you absolutely ZERO shillings staying in the general ward.

The only catch is that you must go there for pre-natal...just call them and find out.

If I was you,I would be having this discussion with the wifes Gyno. He needs to tell you the plan of delivery etc.

My wife had our kid at Nairobi Hospital, and to be honest it left a bad taste in my mouth. Blame was both to the Gyno who was soo busy with 100+ other patients and the Hosi that was unwilling to touch her,as they said they did not have the personal doctor's authority.

The delivery was eventually successful, but this was after a very uncomfortably long labour. You pay money to be comfortable during the process, and I would say it was definitely not worth the money.

Do note that mine was an Isolated case.

I guess if you can't win with facts, you can always pen bile-laced,xenophobic rants to distract everyone.

Hi every one!! thanks alot for usefull insights and advice

@ Mukiha - i will definately want to be there when all is happening,i mean its important to be part of the wwhole procedure and am sure it create sense of closeness with the child and the mother.

@ Lyra - as Leona said that delivary is psycological thing, ladies can sometimes become difficult if u consullt them. she is scared to death about Mater hosy,Agakhan is for trainee docs (donno where she got that) nairobi women is charity hosy she don want to go near (???) kenyatta don even talk bout it and the rest are far -

we visited the Gyno on sato and he suggested that he could make the delievary @ 30k for his services at either Nairobi hosy, agakhan ama avenue.... bed charges and other fees not included. I told him we will think bout it. Though he is a good doc,but as someone said some hospitals will not assist the lady untill the doc comes and if he is late ole wake...

@ Famooz - u a doc??

anyway

Alfa, its april, have you decided on the hospital or how it it go if it has already happened?

I mean fundamental analysis, you get me?

Fundamental analysis of a business involves analyzing its financial statements and health, its management and competitive advantages, and its competitors
