Eeeeish!! Mboss?? have you tried vaimba? (but i digress)

..please read the respective company's own forecasts??

Anyway...your only other options are financials and may be crown berger...just because it is very small (share volume) and is profitable.. but half portfolio on agriculture?...unless portfolio yako ni ndogo tu sana.

yeah...i have a very small portfolio...just 5 companies...never had more than six because it shows you dont know what you are doing.I would rather invest heavily on four stocks than small amounts in 10stocks
Warren Buffett advises retail investors to pick 5-10 stocks & go in with conviction rather than spread oneself too thin... One can keep track of 5-10 stocks much better than 10+

I meant small in terms of cash outlay...not variety of stocks.

..unlike many i rather put my eggs in one tray and seriously watch that tray.

very shy on agriculture since I can't tell what will affect the conter, is it rain, brazil, disease, strike, labour, exchange rate etc. I let other worry about that. On the other hand the land on which these companies stand must have appricoites or is this taken into account in the full year results.

Agriculture is the backbone of almost all countries including KE. Why? Without (renewable) resource extraction, most countries will be in huge trouble.

If these firms adopted Israeli agricultural practices e.g. smart farming, greenhouses, drip irrigation... I think they could be more profitable.

The agric sector contributes 24% of the Kenyan GDP. Evidently, this does not reflect on NSE boards, if it did, agricultural stocks would sell at better prices.

"This profit warning announcement is based on the performance indicated by the unaudited results to 30th September 2012 with reference to information currently available." K W Tarplee, Chairman, 29 November 2012

The chap is quoting Q3 2012 results that we dont have (and wont get). I say, like i have said before, NSE/CMA should make it a rule for all listed firms to release quarterly results

Seconded! I thought with a little bit more (deep) search I would grab something, but obviously I was wrong! Any guess on 9M12 numbers?

The major shareholders never sell but the Wanjikus in the stock who hold less than 500 shares panic sell at a whiff of trouble.

Why hasn't the stock tanked yet?
