"Some wanjikus are buying at 5bob----unfortunately this is when wanjiku gets interested in stocks . and is now heavily buying."

Wanjikus are being bought out by foreigners (98% of buyers are foreigners)

sir/madam, the day you will understand companies fundamentals (especially in telcom, technologies and manufacturing/industrials), is the day u will appreciate safaricom's future. CAPEX intesity decline with time (unless there is overhaul of infrastructure due to new technology), where as OPEX remain constant or increase slightly. OPEX can also decrease if operational efficiency is emphasized.

What am trying to say is revenue can decline but profit rise e.g E.A Cable.

why?
Are u forgetting that foreigners bought at 5.50/- during the IPO. Yet the firm's revenue, products and customer number has grown.

foreigners are not immune to mistakes. they are not gods. they are as good/bad as the best/worst of us. of course they have more cash and can set trends. but investors should know that they are not always right or wrong.

So true and i agree though comments made were "Some wanjikus are buying at 5bob-----and another-----unfortunately this is when wanjiku gets interested in stocks . and is now heavily buying."
But facts are that its not wanjiku buying and no one talked of gods or immunity...

Safaricom company is tomorrow expected to launch a banking service and an insurance company and pundits predict that the move will send shock waves to major players in the banking and insurance sectors.

Kenya largest mobile services provider will be launching a service called M-Shwari which, from the explanations, look like a replacement to M-Kesho (which was done in partnership with Equity Bank).
