I think Chartis was created to counter the sentiments that AIG was going down so we might just see Chartis re-appearing again in future if another global economic crunch hits. Mimi niko na Jubilee.

Recall AIG was at the centre, if not the main enabler, of the American economic meltdown of 2010. They had to shield their offshore businesses by rebranding. now that the dust has settled and nobody remembers the huge pay outs AIG directors were giving themselves while downsizing and begging for govt bail outs, they can now revert their original name.

Very cleaver and deceiving. This should be included as a marketing masterpiece in rebranding case study. Was this really ethical?
