unfortunately this is when wanjiku gets interested in stocks . and is now heavily buying. The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

Until the number reduces to less than 300,000 holders, the share price will stagnate below 6/- forever regardless of financial performance. Reverse split is not necessary. Just my thoughts. If you board a bus that is gaining speed, you'll be lucky not to crash. simple wisdom. I have said this before and will repeat it here, that the best time to board the bus of your choice is when it has slowed down, almost to a halt!!!

The stock has exceeded all analyst predictions. I find this company very resilient, remember all the doom that has been prophesied in the last 3 years or so. Mara MTR, mara price wars, mara mobile number portability and recently switching off of fake fones. The company has survived and come out stronger, its amazing how this company performs and continues to dominate. The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

Is there any news on mpesa bank. At this rate 5/- will be taken out for good as the bids are growing bolder. The bids at these levels point to some news in the offing. What are the rumours? $15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

This way they can combine their synergies and come up with a way of reaching the lowest unbankable person. @hisah why would MPESA which transacts 30% of Kenya's GDP need the other telcos... Safcom has like an 80%+ market share in mobile money and they are very unlikely to gain from partnerships with tiny players! IMHO The best would be the other telcos teaming up to battle MPESA!!

Teaming up is not so bad. Telcos + banks combination makes mobile money reach a third of GDP!? World bank et al must be sweating studying this model.
Dear treasury do not slam the brakes on this money velocity with that mobile money excise duty. It's a senseless move! The faster the velocity the more the expansion. The more the expansion, the more the tax revenues from businesses & consumption.

Punchline for the bids... Better still Quote:During the tour of Safaricom the Prime Mister said: "We would like learn and see greater partnerships between Safaricom and Ethiopia as we work to grow our ICT sector. We believe this will be mutually beneficial to the people of Kenya and Ethiopia. Who has any details on the telecomm industry in Ethiopia? Would safcom acquire some stake of it?
