They can't seem to get the pricing right. I have seen certificate courses about to be offered by e-Cornell that are more expensive than a full degree program by locate universities.

e-learning is the way to go..you can attend your class from anywhere on the planet. You do not have to go to a brick and mortor classroom.Your teacher can be in London, fellow students in Melebourne,NY,washington,Lagos, Migingo,Dar etc yet you get same quality of education.Classes are conducted same way we discuss in this site but on a real time basis .It can be great experience if our universities can adopt it.

I mean fundamental analysis, you get me? Fundamental analysis of a business involves analyzing its financial statements and health, its management and competitive advantages, and its competitors

Kenya is going places through e-learning especially now with the placing of fiber optic cable. Upmarket schools and institutions of higher learning are already started using this.

@ marto,

Do you have details like who is doing what in e-learning. For example is Strathmore or other colleges providing courses or degrees based on e-learning? Or is e-learning connected more with colleges outside Kenya's boarders?

Are instructors in Kenyan colleges and universities embracing online education as a way to disburse knowledge? Are online degrees being recognized by accrediting institutions in Kenya and so on.

While e-learning has its benefits,I sometimes feel that one misses so many things that can only be experienced through a classroom....physically.

The social interaction is limited, discussions (even with discussion boards and bulletin boards) .....the whole social aspect is missing. And I think it's an important experience,it is this interaction that sometimes makes us who we are.

Just a thought.

The world is changed by those who dare dream.
Formally employed people often live their employers' dream & forget about their own.
