If Mrs. Saitoti is thinking about losing money she is being paranoid. If she is concerned about losing face and being ashamed of what she did then ..... well it is too late. The current case is not helping.

She definitely knows the truth. If the truth is she gave birth to Musengi then she can stand her ground by producing a birth certificate and then suing this Subukia family for all they are worth for trying to defame her.

If the truth is she trusted someone to bring her a baby because she could not have one and that the one she trusted lied to her that she had got this baby from parents who had died or some other story and that she loved the baby as her own and brought him up well, she can sit down with the Subukia family and I am sure they will understand.

She has everything to gain and nothing to lose by sitting down with them and talking heart to heart. If it turns out they are mistaken about Musengi I am certain they are definitely not mistaken that they lost a child of their own. She will even appear as a hero for reaching out to a grieving family.

Going to court will only bring about publicity of the kind she will not enjoy. She should learn from Former Deputy Chief Justice Baraza. Get down from your elevated position and talk to common mwananchi and you will realise they don't bite. This idea of talking to people through lawyers is the height of madharau.

Interesting read in todays Nation. Seems Mrs Saitoti has evidence to the contrary. The only thing that I can't understand is Mrs Saitoti hasn't claimed to be the biological mother and instead of producing a birth certificate she produced his passport. Now we all know passports and driving licences cannot be used to authenticate age as you can get them when you're much older. That plus Saitoti was internal affairs minister meaning he could have any passport created to his liking in seconds.

BBI will solve it

The Saitotis never had a child. Musengi was adopted child. All Mrs. needs is to produce adoption documents if any, else...? DNA test will sort out the paternity issue.

The birth cert displayed by Ngatia has the original name (Wachira) of the Zack.....Other than that, the boy is a spitting image of the mum no doubt.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

But surely, he's a grown man now. He should be able to make his own decisions and spare the two families the agony. So what if he stuck with two sets of parents? Others don't even have one.

As Sonko would say, she is an MBT - Mkamba Born Town.

Can Zack who is an adult be made to undergo DNA testing to determine parentage? This might be infringement of some rights. The right to peace.

The courts cannot comply one to undergo a DNA test - that is invasion of the right to privacy. Justice Majanja ruled as much about a month ago.

What if someone told you that the man you have always called father is not your real father? What would you do?

Zack, being 27 years, is the one to decide this case. He can reduce all this drama, by voluntarily agreeing to a DNA test, and getting closure on knowing who his real parents are (if paternity is proved). Or he can do a Balotelli.
Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.
