@sparkly, Mkeiyd is not my real name andmy being on wazua is not a secret to the people around me. If its my son or daughter, they would know mkeiyd is their father.
What your statement says is, your being on wazua is a secret and your thinking is, everyone "hides" from their people.
Not everyone one does that. No wonder i read lewd idiotic posts here from "hiders". Cowards.

Going by @young's previous posts thru' the years, i don't think he's up to any evil.

Dear Young Jnr.

Welcome to Wazua. Your old man must be very proud of you. I know I would be.

You make some important points in your article. I know many people, in Africa and elsewhere, are grappling with the issue of youth employability. In fact there is a planned conference on this subject in Dakar, Senegal, next month that perhaps you can contribute to: LINK

There are some big challenges here, though not insurmountable:
1. Over 200 million Africans are aged between 15 and 30 and this number will only increase. No government on its own can provide jobs for all these young people

2. Although Africa is growing faster than most other regions on earth, this economic growth is not matched by job growth. Why?

3. The nature of modern ‘knowledge based’ economies is that they generate more opportunities than jobs. Unfortunately our education systems still socialize youth to expect a ready made job at the end of their learning.

If you were the president of Africa, confronted by these challenges, how would you respond?

@mkeiyd very good and honest of you that you dont hide from your family and acquintances on Wazua.

Read my post again, i asked @young whether its his real name or not. A simple yes or no will suffice.

What i dont understand is why a Wazuan would go overboard in defending another Wazuan, they have never met.

When they speak of "previous posts thru the years" but Wazua shows the handle was created in March 2012! Who is kidding who?

@Wakanyugi - Government is not supposed to create jobs for anyone. They are supposed to create an supportive environment and the rest is up to the citizens. One reason african growth didn't translate into jobs is the resource boom that occured in the 2000's. Value was based not anything new but just a rise in prices due to increased demands. Also job growth was limited as technology started taking peoples jobs in processes and activities. Knowledge based economies do create more opportunities than jobs but its because youth all over the world were not and are not being taught how to create jobs from those economies. Its a big change, its not about papers or who you know its about what value you can create by leveraging the abundance of knowledge that's being generated at an exponential rate daily!!!!!! There are some many jobs for people who can turn information into useful knowledge.
Uncertainty is certain.Let go

ChessMaster,

True words.

Quoting your words (above) if you have figured out a way to translate these opportunities into jobs for a large number of young people, then I know someone who could really use your expertise. Let me know.

Dear brothers, sisters and friends on the wazua network. Let's not digress from the the valuable discussions that is shared on a regular basis on this platform. Does it really matter if I, Danny Young am on the same network with my dad, I have followed my father's mentoring ideas on this network for a long time, I have also learned very valuable inputs from other contributors here irrespective of whether I know them personally or not. It is not abnormal to see families sharing the same ideology and putting such ideas into practice whether in the area of business or politics or football or any area of endeavor too numerous to start mentioning.
Now for me, why wazua, I have develop interest for Kenya since 2004 during our first family holiday visit, I am the eldest of three boys, I had finished my secondary education (with flying colors too) and plan to further my university education in Nairobi, Kenya. Coming to wazua was a choice I made with no regrets, my aim is basically to learn from valuable contributors here while at the same time sharing.

For the records, I put it clear to everyone- moderator and participants here on this platform, that my father, YOUNG, HAS NEVER AND WILL NEVER SELL ANYTHING ON THIS PLATFORM, ALL HE HAS EVER DONE IS SHARE IDEAS.

Need I say again, going through the archives of all MY FATHER, YOUNG HAS WRITTEN, I AM PROUD TO BE DANNY YOUNG ON THIS HONORABLE PLATFORM.

Let''s focus on issues, not persons.

Meet me at the top its less crowded up there
