Because it has a word golf and leisure does not mean that all are going to come knocking to take up the plots.Their location in my personal opinion does not warrant their quoted price.

@Bufallo hills leisure...

Welcome to Wazua. You have a lot of your members in Wazua and my question on their behalf is - when are the members who have not belloted going to do so and when are those who balloted 2/3 months ago going to be shown their plots on the farm?
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God..

Hello all, thank you for your participation and your comments. I look forward to hearing much more from you.
As we endeavor to bring into being this great estate, I would like to let you know that we are a project of Kamuthi housing cooperative society ltd from now on referred to as the developer. The project is located strategically, with connection available from three routes, the Thika superhighway, the greater eastern bypass and Garrissa road. We broke ground on 8 th September this year and work is underway to ensure that the project is through in two years time. Right now, we are dealing with the electric fence as we do the roads within the estate. The contractors are already on the ground.
To view the land, our site office is always open upto 4.30 pm. However, we do take people on Saturdays for an open day.
Feel free to join us.

We are currently doing the electric fence and are about to start with dam. The whole project is estimated to take two years.

The Kenyan model differs from the Spanish one. In Spain developers were putting up complete villas and communities for sale and were thus very exposed. In kenya (and SA) they just sell you serviced land, of course at a premium, then you build (as per plan) at your own pace, though there's a 3yr limit. That's what happened at Vipingo, Thika greens and now longonot gate and Buffalo hills. So the local developers are unlikely to go bust. They make their money by buying a half acre at less than100k and selling it to you at 4m.

@kflarge,the land around there is going for the price you quote----very well----but kamuthi have value added the land they are selling through the services they are providing--water,electricity,roads,etc.si ndio??the closer you buy land to them, the closer the selling price will be to theirs and it will certainly not be 350k per acre!!
