What's the deal with this company?
Why does it trade at a trailing PE of 3.6. Has it historically been a low PE trader and if yes, why?
Eps last financial year was 7.78.
investors share the light here.

Why does this share have an authorised share capital of 170 million. while the issued shares are 33 million. What are the remaining >130 million shares for??

Most the earnings have been 'capital gains' (from unrealized gains from the value of the real assets aka property) rather than trading profits. I have to dig into the details for 2012.

That would explain the high P/E of 8 achieved fy 2011. what you have mentioned contributed to 292 million to the earnings of that year.

Im wondering whether they have convertible stock or other such device that would warrant such a high un-used authorised share capital.

This a great share for longterm holders smile P/E is still well under 10 even at today's price; has a hrealthy business upside since most Kenyans ride bodabodas
