KPLC will only change after the elections, when we have managers managing institutions and not engineers. These engineers do not understand customer needs, their priorities are on the dangling lines. As in the police reforms where the head will be a professional manager deputized by two professional police men/women, it should be like that everywhere.

I disagree on the engineers bit being the problem. The customer care is not manned by engineersShame on you

@majimaji, 2012 is right, most of the customer service guys are engineers including the boss of customer service. Others are electrical technicians. The call center staff are not engineers but they report to the said engineers and the buck stops at the senior officers desk.

Nepotism is rampant in KP thus enough of these junior officers do not care coz they got the job too easily and some without the qualification for the job. Attitude from top to bottom is a problem and the senior officers are busy travelling within and out of the country or wasting time in endless meetings.

In my opinion, the best opportunity for you and me to change some of these things is by voting the right guy at the top otherwise it will be business as usual in civil service and parastatals.

@CaptainGG and @majimaji, i totally disagree with your comments regarding engineers, the real problem lies on what captainGG said on how some of these people got their jobs and hence they dont give a shit about customer. One line ..Attitude.
On the flip side, kplc have very good people i have dealt with in person and i dont complain,
Remember you only get what you ask for, if your attitude is in question you get that.

gangruka ati you get bad attitude because you have a bad attitude? Kweli you are one of these "engineers"?

The company is rotten. Its that simple. The reasons why are no longer important. Its like someone who is sick wondering how they got sick in the first place. At times it's too late to matter.

KPLC is messed up. Period. When your "engineer" boss can call Kenyans silly and they should get paraffin instead of electricity, then you know how rotten they are.

Only after I caused all over online did I get a solution. So what of my cucu who doesn't even know there is internet?

Kindly keep Engineers out of this. Engineers don't do desk jobs unless in a senior position. You probably dealt with a technician.

That's exactly what I'm saying. Keep engineers out of management so they can do what they do best. Would you let someone who can't deal with people dealing with customers? KPLC forgets that the sole reason they exist is the customer.

BBI will solve it
