i) Why are you selling it if its such profitable. Employ staff to run it for you if you have no time to manage it.
Answer:
Am relocating. The business already has staff.With my absence (from past experience), it is the kind of business that can be grounded in months if the owner is not there to steer it.
ii) At the risk of sounding naive and while I don't hold brief for the thread starter, aren't there ever occasions when owners of profitable businesses dispose of them?
Answer:
I know of none. Never bought a business, never sold one. I will let you know how it goes and also share my reflection later on.
iii) On Genuineness.
The buyer does due diligence.Who would buy a business without accessing all the legal documentation,books, bank statements, tax returns etc and also talking to past and existing clients?
