@gesowan true hope is not an investment strategy. OCH had a lot of lofty promise with their south african investments. They should have delivered a windfall from selling tiles in the 2010 world cup construction boom but they didnt. Instead they made serious losses and announced bankruptcies. The Co has been returning negatives returns to shareholders and fundamentals are very weak.

It is surely time to swallow the bitter pill and move on.

If you dont set targets, it is hard to admit a mistake and sell a hopeless position just as it is not easy to take profits in a share that has reached fair value but still rising.

When faced with such dilemma, i sell slowly in lots untill i am left with a position i am comfortable with.

I suggest that you start by selling half of your shares at current price and putting it in a more promising stock.

good advice right there. no need to keep digging when you realise you are in a hole. identify another company and gradually divest from OCH. You will live to see another day

Exit now. Sell sell sell. forgive and pray for one Matu Wamae.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God..

Suppose you have 35k to invest; would you buy 10k shares of SCOM or 10k shares of OCHL?

Since the day this question was asked, OCH has gained 4.29% [from Sh3.50 to 3.65 yesterday] and SCOM 16% [from 3.45 to 4.00 yesterday]

Who's laughing now?

And now; five short months later, SCOM is at 4.40 while this thing is still pretending to be at 3.65!
