Isn't the opposition what gave you your next Kenyan president?

The report also says their was a prison warden involved then their must be an ex convict and an ex cop.

@elder and richdad.....i was once attacked by thugs and the experience was traumatizing considering that even after their action, they left us in the bush with wild animals. I have no heart for a thief....period.

Yep one thug shot back and was promptly taken out. 30 ATM cards were found on him. Another had a Kenya Prisons ID.

Apparently bank employees enabled the thugs to copy keys to the vaults.

If he was such a clean business man, what was he doing inside a bank at that time of the night?

The three were targeting more than Sh100 million in the bank's strong room when police, who had been trailing them for three weeks, pounced.

The trader's wife and mother identified his body at the Nakuru Municipal Mortuary on tuesday.

"Its also confirmed that the lorry that was to be used to carry the Sh100 million from the bank belonged to Gikandi.

'The suspect had instructed the driver to take a day off and drove the vehicle to Nakuru for a business trip, which was very unusual,' said mr. John M'Mbijiwe, the Rift Valley Police Boss."

You are assuming too much in this post.

1. That there was an actual tipoff
2. That ALL were robbers
3. That the man was very rich.
4. It was not a mistake

Don't start being all moral here when you don't have ALL the facts.

For me sad if he was an actual thief, very sad if it was a mistake. One way or the other, I have no evidence to make a decision one way or the other.

You have no evidence to make a decision if he was an actual theif or not?

What if someone else had?

Let me not sugar coat it for you.

Most of the time, when a husband beats up the wife its because the wife has said the truth or has touched a raw nerve.

Same thing with such stories.

I would like to state it for you, that this story sounds extremely far fetched. The fact that police shooting someone can even make it to wazua makes it more suspicious.

Did they make a mistake?
What does his family say?
Was he shot during, after or before the alleged non-theft?
Was there a robbery, an attempted robbery or were they going to the alleged robbery?
Do you honestly believe that someone can carry a deposit slip of 11.5m with checks to boot then go and piga mtu ngeta? If you do, then it means you have never seen the movie Godfather.

I can see it now. Don Corleone with his millions in his house walking into a bakery to steal the bread. Ha!

If it smells, it's probably rotting.

True. But I thought we were to assume that the story was indeed true and to look at seeking wealth as a motive.

But then a real man is dead, and the case, is no doubt, grave. But then people are dying around me like flies and every account given doesn't add up.

1000 people dead, 'post election violence'. 1 person dead; cancer. Brother against brother. . .

It's like 'either death or no death'.

@ocampo I understand your point. Personally I also have no heart for a thief and wont shed a tear at their death. The same way I have no heart and wont shed a tear for a policeman who partake in extra judicial killing. The motives for their deeds may be different but they are both dangerous to all of us. At times the motives of the latter end up not being any different from the former.
