How much do you pay in rent?

Alot of this executives living in apartments and houses where rent is over 100k usually get their employers to pay for them.
Don't be dupped trying to be like the Jonses if you are in Nairobi for the medium to long haul and you can afford a house, get one. Property prices will not be going down.

YES!! What do you mean your house was doing nothing for you?? 1. Your house couldve been worth 60-80million in 20years! 2. You couldve taken a 15million loan with your house as security/collateral if you were really dying to do business! 3. Now in 20years you would have paid 20million in rent with no house to call your own!! SO SAD!! Mark 12:29

I pay 10k but for reasons i never got, the landlady reduced my initial rent of 13k. But i am happy with that. Currently staying with my friend as i have rent it out to a muzungu for 6days!! My folks told me that my very first word was 'billionaire'

Wow some people are lucky, am paying a rent of kitu 70K for a 2 bedroom house which is a bargain where I live. I moved out coz I have two kids and was living in a 1 bedroom apartment paying around 55K. I take home not a quite reasonable figure. I would love to get a mortgage but the chumes I save the bank will hear nothing of it. I did a calculation for the last five years I have spent like 3M on rent alone. I would love to go see my banker and tell him since I can afford to pay rent, I can also afford to pay a mortgage but he will not listen.

I suspect you are living way beyond your means.  Might want to reconsider where you live (where do you live btw? What neighbourhood is this?
