I think it is a technical move aimed at salvaging marupurupu. Now that she resigned rather than being fired I am sure she is entitled to some compensation. I think her CV is also better off since it will show that she was a Deputy Chief Justice for more than a year before she resigned. So she can still have a career as a lawyer and as you can see from @essyk post above, one year from now we will all have forgetten about this whole saga and Baraza will be back to business as a big shot in some NGO fighting for judicial reform.
