Many crave to be in a relationship and eventually do get into one. However, some relationships never last while others though they go through very difficult seasons, they never die off completely. After the dry season they blossom to full life and last for a lifetime.
In Isaiah 10 and 11 the prophet presents us with two contrasts; a mighty cedar tree and a sprouting rod. In the context used by Prophet Isaiah, both trees grow to full maturity, but we see the cedar tree dying off completely, whereas the sprouting rod, though deeply wounded and cut down lives to blossom forever.
Cedar relationships have all the glitter and glamour; fair looks, financial shade, high social standing and stand top among the who-is-who relationships. However, they lack one thing which is found in an sprouting-rod relationship. What could that be?
