Well why don't you begin by describing it first then We shall use that to gauge ourselves?
My inner peace could be totally different from say Hambuglar's.

Essyk you are already calling out Hambuglar. That will make things interesting.I think everyone's 'inner peace' is different from the next person. That's why I'm encouraging opinions. So how about it,want to share with us?

I guess I should start by sharing my pursuit of it. My inner peace is derived and centered on humility and patience.

yes i believed in it when i read on the eastern philosophy about seeking to control one's mind by paying attention to the thought patterns and now seek it everyday by emptying my mind of thoughts and doing meditation. I now have a calmer life and try not to get too attached to material possessions

Yes i believe in inner peace and this is how i try to find mine. Basically i have things that i can say help me find "balance" ( at the risk of exposing me ,i will not mention them),and this is what i define as my "inner peace". The idea is try and maintain a balance between the three. For example, some people find balance is faith ( whatever faith means to you),relationship ( all types of relationships) and service( you can call it work if you want )

However,i think it is hard to be in perfect inner peace all the time and why the healthy interplay between all the force that cause balance is important

Ok,this makes so much sense to me but i don't know if it makes sense to you ? And i know it is possible to argue that peace is not based on things .....but on what happens on the inside, but we all know we do not live in a vacuum.

@mkonomtupu I'm on the same page as you. It's one strategy I use in my pursuit of inner peace. I think you understand my frustration when it comes to clearing one's mind of thoughts and meditation.Just a side comment all religions and most philosophy's related to the matter always advocate for detachment from material possessions, meditation and selflessness and I too have a calmer life.

Haha.I like the way Ham argues.Never says die.
@Chess.I sought the giver of peace and not peace itself.
And I have peace everlasting. He leaves and I am in turmoil.

@famooz - I like your thoughts on balance. Faith(whatever that means to you is pretyy clear),relationship - to me the connections you have with your external world(people,environment-all types of relationships as you say) very important to help define yourself and service for me is the role you play or are meant to play in life. How does that relate to how you?

I don't think anyone here can claim to have attained perfect inner peace.
