Looks like the archives have become important again...
As you can see mahegoat was the younger one and there was no better way of being "beaten" one photograph except after a very good swimming session in the nearby coffee dam aka rangwero dam (Longwell Dam).
One more thing, we were not as reckless as magigi who went sliding downhill with his bare short alone...
On come on Kaigangio.
How old are the boys? Ten, Eleven max. I was born in 1968, plus ten that gives you 1978. Remember, you are “older” than me in the picture.
You and I went to sixth form. Remember the economics geography paper where we were given a picture and asked some questions on the picture background. Let’s do it.
Near left foreground is a piece of plastic bag. Automatically, this shows that that the picture was taken after the mid nineties when polythene papers became common.
Left back ground. No coffee farmer anywhere in Central Province would allow his coffee to have even a trace of weed. This is pure neglect in the standards of the seventies.
Right middle to right back ground. There is even a path in between the coffee bushes. This was the dying periods of the Chepkobe coffee boom. A father would murder you if you dared walk through his coffee farm.
Coffee was black gold my man.
The boys are wearing designer t shirts. In the seventies, that was unheard off. Mitumba came just the other day.
In short Mr. Gizzard, it is not us. It could not be. I looked like that though, when I was ten.
