Who mentioned the devil - simply because we want to say no to this religious fraud is not to say we resort to the way of the devil. There is in fact a remnant - even among the preachers of today, but they are there.

These pple have their crowds to fight for them same as our politicians. The recent drama at a cabanas 'place of warship' is a good example. Sisemi kitu. Kila mtu atumie wisdom ile anayo coz on the day of judgement, everyone will give their own account.

Rotten apples are everywhere, even the Bible says that false prophets will come.

Otherwise, if its an excuse to stop going to church, then one might want to ponder further
There is a car recall on the paper yesterday, does that mean one will never drive?
Food poisoning, one will never eat?
ARV and formalane in seedy pubs, one will never visit a pub ama drink?
Women are assaulting their husbands, one will never marry ama they'll throw away their wives?
STDs have been with us for a while, do people land?
Accidents are the no. 1 killer, people will never travel?
Buildings crumble, will you live in a hut?
MPESA are hot now, one will close their accounts?

@Mukiri - not to be drawn into an argument, but would you willingly eat a rotten apple? Would you go to the show room today and buy that car that's just been recalled? Would you land where an STD is guaranteed? The important thing is to share this article as it really resonates with the way things are here too.

Think on these things - therein is the message.

In fact I didn't even say you should stop going to church - or that I would stop. Far from it. The message is - let's not be the sheep herded willingly to the slaughter house. Let us also learn to chew, not only to swallow. Christianity is not about the 'house of worship' but about faith in Christ and the Doctrine of Christ is the guiding principal.

@Sigiriri I think @Mukiri is just saying that life must continue, but do due diligence in everything. Even in religious matters. Jesus warned people of false prophets. He said you'll know them by their fruits. He said do not believe everything, test it first.

But let me ask you, how much do you know which you yourself have researched?
I mean what you really know.
- Not what you have heard,
- not what you have read in the newspapers,
- not what you have seen on television,
- not what your teacher or professor say,
- not what your neighbours or friends say or what the priest or minister of your church say.

But what you have come to understand from basic facts, historical, scriptural facts about system of life.

Not even what you have witnessed through behaviour of some Christians, because I don't think I have to tell in objective person that a Christian is not necessarily an example of life of Christ Shame on you

hehehe... What is this ati '.. not to be drawn into an argument..' Sasa hapo iko chida!

@Sigiriri, @AlphDoti above has translated my language clearly. I also concur with you. However, there are those that might misinterpret this and use it as the 'gospel' in a brothel on a Sunday morning!

Kenyans peculiar behaviour, If real Jesus Christ came to Nairobi, people would choose pastor Mike Njoroge, pastor Oduor or pope O'ngombe because they have more to offer including giving "jobs" to akina mwende an so on and so forth. Very peculiar behaviour indeed.

...its not peculiar thats how the good news is...J.C himself even after raising the dead, healing the sick, performing countless miracles was still rejected by peeps who saw Him with their own two eyes, human nature thats the way we are,am sure that church at Cabanas is still full...

Someone saw it coming...

Signs of the End of the Age : - "... Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things MUST happen, but the end is still
to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted
and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come..."

JESUS saw it coming, saw why are we surprised? Rather we should be embracing Him more coz He told us the truth!

Eagles don't flock, you have to find them one at a time.

This con game will only end if Christians start seeking the face of God and not the hand of God.

Ever had a chat with some evangelical Christians and noted that the only scripture that they seem to know are those that relate to blessings? The kind of guys who are always declaring this or that?

While Jesus' ministry is replete with miracles that solved many earthly problems-blindness, starvation etc, it is important to note that the biggest miracle was salvation.

So seek not the Lord for things but seek communion with him. If you seek after signs and blessings you could end up in the hands of cons. Remember Pharaoh's magicians were able to do works that mimicked what Moses did.
Laughing out loudly smile Applause d'oh! Sad Drool Liar Shame on you Pray

In the times we are living countercheck your pastor…because you shall know them by their fruits
The spiritual leader can be female or male either a Sunday School teacher, pastor in some churches, elder/deacon/board member, women’s leader, etc.
I urge husbands and Fathers to be going to church to know where their spouse and childrean go and get to know who and how your family is being is being pastored. Its is your resposibility to lead your family to church and protect your family from false church doctrines/pastors
The false bully Pastor traits are;:
•is a *convincing,* *practised liar* and when called to account, will make up anything spontaneously to fit their needs at that moment
•has a *Jekyll and Hyde nature* – is vile, vicious and vindictive in private, but innocent and charming in front of witnesses;no-one can (or wants to) believe this individual has a vindictive
nature – only the current target of the serial bully’s aggression sees both sides; whilst the Jekyll side is described as “charming”
and convincing enough to deceive personnel, management and a tribunal, the Hyde side is frequently described as “evil”; Hyde is
the real person, Jekyll is an act
•excels at *deception* and should never be underestimated in their capacity to deceive
in a relationship, is unable to hold a relationship most of them have separated, divorced or the spouse is not part emotionally or physically part of that church..
•uses excessive *charm* and is always plausible and convincing when peers, superiors or others are present (charm can be used to deceive as well as to cover for lack of empathy)
•is *glib, shallow and superficial* with plenty of fine words and lots of form – but there’s no substance
•relies on *mimicry, repetition* and regurgitation* to convince
others that he or she is both a “normal” human being and a tough dynamic manager, as in extolling the virtues of the latest
management fads and pouring forth the accompanying jargon
•is unusually skilled in *being able to anticipate what people want to hear* and then saying it plausibly
•*cannot be trusted or relied upon*
•*fails to fulfil commitments*
•is *emotionally retarded* displays the emotional age of a five-year-old
•is *emotionally immature* and *emotionally untrustworthy*
•exhibits *unusual and inappropriate attitudes to sexual matters, sexual behaviour and bodily functions*; underneath the charming
exterior there are often suspicions or hints of sex discrimination and sexual harassment, perhaps also sexual dysfunction, sexual inadequacy, sexual perversion, sexual violence or sexual abuse
•is *self-opinionated* and displays *arrogance*, *audacity, a
superior sense of entitlement* and sense of *invulnerability* and
*untouchability*
•is a *control freak* and has a *compulsive need to control*
•displays a *compulsive need to criticise* whilst simultaneously *refusing to value*, praise and acknowledge others, their
achievements, or their existence
•*shows a lack of joined-up thinking* with conversation that
doesn’t flow and arguments that don’t hold water
•is *highly manipulative*, especially of people’s perceptions and emotions (eg guilt)
•*poisons peoples’ minds* by manipulating their perceptions
•is *spiritually dead* although may loudly profess some religious
belief or affiliation
•is *mean-spirited*, *officious*, and often *unbelievably petty*
•is *mean, stingy*, and *financially untrustworthy*
•is *greedy, selfish, *a *parasite *and an *emotional vampire*
•is *always a taker *and *never a giver* [Note from Danni: On this one I would say, never a giver unless there is a hidden motive of manipulation to gain.]
•is convinced of their *superiority* and has an *overbearing belief in their qualities of leadership* but cannot distinguish between
leadership (maturity, decisiveness, assertiveness, co-operation,
trust, integrity) and bullying (immaturity, impulsiveness,
aggression, manipulation, distrust, deceitfulness)
•often *fraudulently claims* qualifications, experience, titles, entitlements or affiliations which are ambiguous, misleading, or
bogus
•sometimes *displays a seemingly limitless demonic energy*especially when engaged in attention-seeking activities or evasion
of accountability and is often a *committeeaholic* or apparent
*workaholic*
