This is now irrational investing; surely what is the driving factor. We are headed for massive over-subscription. over 150% coz of the price if you put the results of DTB rights issue into perspective. Thieves

But i believe the Ndegwa's have enough quid to prevent an undersubscription. This bank has been their pet in the banking sector investment and they want to prove their late dad never took them to school for nothing. Thieves

the premium is too high! what about dilution?? are rights retradable? ie buy rights the sell them again if yes. one would have madew >100% gain on this one. The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

Wants you buy off the market you can only sell wants the rights have been credited and all of them start trading... The premium is not too high! it was the rights price that was too low! The premium is not too high! it was the rights price that was too low! i like the way you are always in the know. the bonus is a factor in the valuation of the rights. at 15+21= 36. unless the nse takes of as a whole NIC was trading at around 35. so what gain is there to be had by buying rights, the share may struggle to get past 40 (unless nse takes off) I they want the share that bad buy in the market for less than the rights+premium. at 34. Which can even be sold sooner incase things change The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

RTGS is Real Time Gross Settlement. Money is transmitted via CBK/SWIFT and settlement occurs on a real time/same day. My bank charges KES 500 for this service. EFT is Electronic Funds Transfer. Money is transmitted via clearing house and settlement occurs in 2 days. My bank charges KES 300 for this service.

Another thing, for fund over KES 1M, they cannot be handled via EFT or cheques so they must be transmitted via RTGS.

NIC Bank’s rights issue has been oversubscribed by 238 per cent, managing to attract Sh7 billion in offers against the Sh2 billion it had sought. http://www.businessdaily.../-/qpl8c4z/-/index.html
Good news I wish they had supplied more shares
