Had she wanted another option, I am sure they would have advised accordingly.

I think you can go and have a look at the private there. All I can tell you is KNH have on of the best equipment, and if private is good, then why not? After all it's cheaper than Mater. Maternit is not a disease, your wife just needs good care and that is all. Some well organized hospitals are even better than those hyped expensive ones.

Go for it. It is not a 5 star hotel but is ok especially if paying out of pocket. It costs around 40k for normal delivery and around 80k for caesarian. Cost is higher if you get her a private room

Child bearing is supposed to be straight forward were it not for the lifestyle our nairobi ladies live.

I remember when growing up, our neighbour worked in her farm the whole day delivered at night (8th born) and afew days later she was back to the farm as if nothing happened.

Now tell this to our sisters who have to take a city hopper from kencom to GPO.
