I'm very sorry about this. Not to you githundi but to the lady.

I can't imagine why you keep on yapping about that car all the time.Let it rot and be done with it. Infact, if I were you, I'd ask the cops not to find it, ever.

The lady is traumatised and you should be more concerned about her welfare. At first after seeing your post, I thought how sad. But every post you've been mentioning that bloody car.

Let it go. Help the lady out as you can't ever insure or replace what she's going through. Especially since it's your fault for getting out of your car in the first place.

Have some compassion dude, the guy's life was on the line...Just a word of pole would suffice here, no need for msomo...

Once again @githundi, pole.
Applause Applause and making it appear like @githundi is more concerned about the car! I thought he initially avoided the rape story coz of the pain it's caused him & his partner!
@all, thank you for your continued support,
@Lolest, that is the fact,
Guys you have noted i have not commented much on my partner,
When you share your tragedies in a public forum,you expect criticism but sometimes lets try to avoid insensitive criticism.

@ alma, with no offense meant, i prioritized the issue of my partner treatment, counseling and moral support, but i saw no need to post more on this as there is little an online community can do.I had responded to @ king i didn't want to comment further, allow me quote an earlier post.....the worst thing that happened is they raped my partner.....
When i decided to share this incident with you guys, i posted details of what can assist us to avoid such incidences.
While i wished not to comment further on the incidence of rape, let me put the record straight;
1. The most important thing in such an incident is to safeguard lives. On probabilities, we had a 50% chance of being alive today, We cooperated and by Gods will we are alive.
2.On the night of the ugly incident we slept @ about 4.am- Reason, we had gone to seek treatment for my partner at Nairobi Women Hospital.
3.As the man, i take full responsibility for the incident and the is no excuse for the same. However once in a while, we are human and we make a mistake of judgement but the most important thing is to learn from the past and move on.
4.At all incidences, reason has to prevail over emotions, when all is said and done, i think there is nothing wrong to move forward to the second step and try to recover my car.
While this ugly incident has happened, there is little to undo but rather tread the path of healing and recovery.
Am encouraged by the strength and the courage shown by my partner after the incident.
5.Am now alive to the fact that these things can happen to us, i least expected it to happen.

I had promised to share with you any further developments,

I was able to get get phone detail from my phone statements which could aid the police.
I think with now their possible phone numbers and the ATM withdraw pictures. it is only a question of time.
One again, God bless you.

@ all, my car was recovered in police station by recovery agents of my insurance company. The vehicle was involved in a car accident the same day it was stolen, and the thugs ran away. It was taken as a case of hit and run and towed to the police station and the officers in charge did not suspect anything.
The unfortunate thing is that the police have not yet managed to arrest the thugs involved. It was unfortunate the atm used to withdraw the cash had no camera. Similarly the police seen to be overwhelmed as i think they have limited capacity to collect the intelligence needed to prosecute. E.g
1. The moment they recovered the car as a case of hit and run , they should have been able to get my details from registrar of motor vehicle and arraign me in court but they sat back.
2. They can simply have a website where all cars in their stations are listed and what i could have done is google and get the car. IT is the future and nowadays. Because of automation,you can just find out the name of a driver by sending an sms with a driving licence number. The same should be done for cars such that a registration no. be sent to an sms no. and details of owner retrieved.
3. The cid could have been able to retrieve my imei no. From airtel and trace the current user of my cellphone and probably get the thief, but they did not follow up.
If recovery agents can recover my car, why not the police. We have a long way to go in police reforms.
There have been tough times, but i believe that the past should not hold us hostage and we have to be strong and move on. And thanks to God we have. The insurance will repair the minor dent and hopefully bring the issue to closure. Be blessed.

How is your partner? And your relationship with her? (If its not too personal to ask) Today in church we learnt about rape as a weapon the devil uses to destroy people and plant his strongholds.

She is fine, thank you. She is a strong woman, am proud of the way she has handled the incident. We are fine and we thank God. Rape is a form of violence that i would wish nobody to go through.

I know it's hard to hear this but stop worrying too much about the car and first celebrate the fact that God has given you all a second chance and start to reflect on what he might have in store for you as it can only be good. Help your partner heal. As for things of this world like the car, you can always get another one. As for the criminals, their fate is sealed, they just reduced their number of days here on earth.

BBI will solve it
