Real investors need to now evaluate the company instead of the stock price.

I remember awhile back people ignored EABL coz the rights issue was higher than the market price, thats when Diageo swooped in and took up majority control, now they are laughing all the way to the bank.

Me thinks one is better off buying the rights or selling off any holdings just to protect one's value because they will be diluted by the rights issue.

The directors are not issuing the rights for capital only, they are doing it so they can improve their gearing which will allow them to borrow the Sh 330B they need for their expansion

How about a KQ shareholder avoids dilution by buying her exact number of rights off the market at below the rights offer price..

I mean she can buy at @ 13.65 today and possibly 8bob after the offer is complete..

Great company at fair price rather than fair company at great price.

@Ali Baba...I like your honesty....it's interesting to note that the current directors are in this same boat in regard to share ownership...Not talking

Now, let's not complicate issues with theory: You want to buy 10,000 shares. One person is selling to you at 4/- another person is selling to you at 3/65. Assuming you do not have a lose nut in your head, and you are using your hard earned Ksh, not using corruption money, which one do you buy!Simple like that.

I sold at 7.80 in 2001! IPO was at 11.25.

OK you got me there, hadn't seen it that way. But I still insist that one needs to look at the company and not the stock price.

Whaat...give 3 good reasons why? With all the bad publicity that it has been experiencing oflate and the un-predictability of the industry why would u want to pick this one? They grounded their planes Friday to repair seats, apparently Americans have been spilling alot of soda while onboard making the loosening the seats while at it.
