10% = 1 share for every 10 held! This share might just come to the levels of NBK, KQ and HFCK levels

plus dilution of the rights 1:4. its even confusing to calculate

The Ndegwa's stating or and taking up their rights will result to less shares being traded and hence supply levels will be low. if we assume that demand remains constant, then the share price will definately hike as a result of the short supply. if u combine this with the company and market fundamentals which will increase the demand for the company, then this share is a gud bet.
However, this anomaly will only hold for the period before the Ndegwa's offload the extra 10%.
Ndegwas will start selling immediately. Locks in their profits. Makes sure the 10% is old within 1 year. Plans the next Rights Issue.

Those who are supporting what the Ndegwa's are doing, i have no wonders for you, it is pure and straingt conmanship. Why cant they wait for the apllications and allotment process and get the outcome and if need be call for a special AGM to amended the process for more allocations the way CIC did after their last rights. smile smile smile

u can call it conmanship bt that is how pple mk money in th stock market n that is why it is th stock market. Look at a situation wea th stock market ws effecient n there were no imperfections in th economy, a share price wld hardly fluctuate, there wld b NO motivation 2 invest in th stock exchange!!!
The conmanship referred to is as it relates to the ambiguity & lack of transparency of the allocation process. There seems to be a move to give the Ndegwas the bulk of the Untaken Rights. Or that is what it seems to be. Let's hope the CMA stops any funny business before it happens.

NIC Shareholders who have applied for Additional Shares should write to the CMA to forestall any funny business or skewed allocations.

CMA needs to follow up....i am seeing a case of insider trading here "Insider trading can be illegal or legal depending on when the insider makes the trade: it is illegal when the material information is still nonpublic--trading while having special knowledge is unfair to other investors who don't have access to such knowledge"
why did they apply after the the closing date ,what information they have that other shareholders did not know,????

10% = 1 share for every 10 held! This share might just come to the levels of NBK, KQ and HFCK levels

plus dilution of the rights 1:4. its even confusing to calculate

1:4 and then 1:10. #complex dilution galore

After the whole process is over there will be 540mn shares outstanding for NIC...

Basing on 2012 PAT of 3billions then the forward EPS is around 5.5...

Using a conservative P/E of 10 you are talking about 55bob for this stock by 2013...

Not bad!! meaning it was trading at a very low PE before the rights issue and bonus!

Imagine those who jumped in last year at 23.00-25.00 and took up their rights, and may be allocated more.... These guys are in the money!!

As we await the rights outcome for NIC, it's well worth noting that DTB has held up quite well after its own RI. Its up to 111. Rights were at 74. This reps 50 percent!

*Cue VVS to wax lyrical about AKFED*smile

Deservedly, I must add.

NIC Bank’s rights issue has been oversubscribed by 238 per cent, managing to attract Sh7 billion in offers against the Sh2 billion it had sought.

Githae should tell us if they will still get to 35%
and what is the formula to allocate the shares...

The allocation has not been announced. I figure it will be in the newspapers tomorrow. I wonder if the Ndegwas used their clout to get 35%. I think the Ndegwas called Ndungu who called Githae who told Muthuara that let the brothers increase it to 35%. It's all in-house. Tuko Pamoja.

anyone who applied for 1,000 shares or less should be given a full allocation. Anything else is unacceptable!

Something funny was going on during the allocation process! Overnight changes. Have a look.
