importing car from uk--help!!

will be in the uk and would like to check out used cars.looking at 2006 mitsubishi shogun sport/montero or 2007 nissan pathfinder for a max of 12000 pounds.can one of you geniuses here on wazua please tell me approx what my total cost might be to the point where i drive the car out of mombasa port with kenya number plates.please use uk price of 12000 pounds for calculation.ahsante in advance

Duty is not calculated using your purchase price but rather tabulated from KRA's CRSP (current retail selling price).

@jkmwatha--I hv previously noted that u partake in the car business in the uk.do you still offer services i.e would you be available huko london to assist in the search for said vehicles and how much are your services??

when do you intend for the car to be in mombasa,this is important,cause duty may vary.
have a good trip ,however you don,t need to be in uk to do a thorough search.
some other costs.
inspection 163gbp
transport for the vehicle to the port (depends on the distance of purchase)
shipping agent ,also will vary depending on who you chose.roughly 1000gbp
