Disappointing set of results. Why do they keep seeing huge demand of power yet they can only grow units by 9%. Shocked they used 25B PIBO to push 9.2% unit sales. Maajabu haya! For true demand forecasts I will now use KPLC. They are at the grind so they would know what is actually required.

For a company with sales of 15B asking for over 450B for capex over 6 years should invite a lot of swalis.

@deal, you will within the next 4 yrs realize who was clueless, mimi ama wewe. Na nitakuwa hapa hapa tu, kwani naeda wapi! Haaaa-pana!

This stock has been a massive disappointment and will destroy shareholder value unless something gives in the financing structure. Look we have about 75% power for our country. Quality is something else. We surely can't be soaking all that debt to address 25% shortfall. Iko chitu! This economy will never grow beyond 6% for the next 5 yrs and you can take that to the bank. So max power growth during the period is about 12% (2xReal GDP g)

Interesting to note while Kengen is cum div, if the price shoots to 10 the div yield will be 6%. The price still has a lot of yards to rally...
$15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!
