I will forgive you because you are a junior. There are three important things you failed to consider.
One. This is NOT an "either or" situation. Tullow can build primary and secondary schools, sponsor students to local and international university and support the anti-jiggers campaign. You can walk and chew gum you know!
Second. Tullow Oil are killing two birds with one stone. Look at the courses they are sponsoring; Oil and Gas law, Oil and Gas Engineering, Drilling Engineering, Environmental Science etc. You think it is a coincidence? They are developing human capital for their company/industry while at the same time helping some Kenyans get an education. It's a win - win situation. Tullow gets to ultimately employ local experts; The beneficiaries get jobs waiting for them.
Third. These scholarships are international. Of the 93 available, Kenya was awarded 10! Are you saying Kenyans should have been denied the chance in an ongoing program because Tullow might build some schools/classes in future?
Tafakari hayo!
