Students rioting in Nairobi, 19 GSU lorries in 2 mins, Tana over 100 hacked to death and no response in 2 weeks!!! Distance and logistics. Think of logistics as follows: Food for the entire GSU troop in the remote area, medicals, sleeping tents, showers, choo etc...in Nairobi they can easily go back to the camp to refresh while a fresh group is brought in. Tafadhali tujaribu kifiria nje ya box at kama vichwa zetu ni ndogo (pun!)sana na imezidiwa na box. I thought they are always ready for such eventualities Even if they are ready they still needed to transport the tents and mobile kitchenette, plus another group will be digging the pit latrines Its not a child's play deploying an army/paramilitary police in those remote areas... Late last year you were told how much KES gaamnet spent per day to keep one KDF in Somlia, its so much money! well am not privy to the detailed workings of the disciplined forces or the budget required to maintain one of them - I just had a niggling feeling that they were just waiting for an order from anywhere, which unfortunately was not forthcoming. I am sure with a stronger resolve - tents, food, shovels for digging latrines and the money needed to support around 1000 officers can be done in a day or two - I may be wrong.

I'm surprised UoN decided to allow students too stay in the uni after the strike. They're usually sent off to avoid such cases!

If you catch up with one ot those side mirror thugs and give him a serious one on the head, you can be sure he will be taking a leave of absence for a couple of weeks!!!
