Housing Finance reduces lending rate to 18 per cent

“Ours is an effective rate and it’s the level at which we lend to customers as opposed to the base rate. The lower cost of borrowing will help to turnaround our loan book,” said Frank Ireri Housing Finance managing director.

Most banks have cut their base rate—which means that their real lending rates are higher since they charge a premium to borrowers that is added onto the quoted rate based on the evaluation of the customers’ default risk.

Lol the first thing I see when I open Wazua is this thread being kept active by one person who is re-sharing old news. @mweke needs to relax this stock will go up. Yesterday it breached a key support level of Ksh14 thus the steep fall. Buyers & sellers are active at this levels. Buyers need to overpower sellers for the stock to move up otherwise it will get punished further since nobody wants to be stuck in a falling bus in a bull market. Its not all about fundamentals all the time. When you buy a stock be prepared for it to fall the way you expect to go up otherwise no need for sleepless nights if you are sure you made the right investment.

It reminds me alot of kcb at 15.00 we know how that turned out.
