Can someone tell me whether Samsung Series 5 LED
HD T.V is DVB-T2 ready and if so how to switch to the digital tuner?

@Chaka Very few TVs have DVB-T2 decoder built in at the moment. In cases where it is built in, it is rather expensive. You can visit the Samsung website (try the Africa and the US websites) for detailed specs.


@ everyone Regarding the aspect ratio with DSTV, I usually switch that on the decoder depending on what format is being transmitted (4:3 or 16:9). If the pictures look 'narrow' probably means you have 4:3 configured on the decoder and your TV is 16:9 natively (most LEDs and LCDs). Changing it makes it more 'natural'

If they switch off dvb-t1 and analogue transmission before t2 tvs or stb are easily available, isn't that going to be a crisis?

Am suspecting that they have switched off. I had DVB-T(1) decoder and I connected it recently and it was blank

Honestly i was not aware that it was a Chinese thing.I rarely buy Chinese knowingly.
