Why triple the forex charge while KES has been stable since June?

Last week on Tuesday a large foreign sale went through on this counter. I think KPLC will enter the no demand phase period from now till the results are announced. Caution on this rally.

Very interesting. In yesterdays Citizen business news the reporter said 'the second phase will see kenya power connect 520 customers to pre-paid system at a cost of 5 billion

Now someone should get fired!

BBI will solve it

Electricity distributor Kenya Power plans to raise the number of pre-paid meters by 520,000 over the next nine months at a cost of Sh5 billion to cut the risk of consumer default.

I think this is the right time to buy into this counter. After election we will have professionals running all parastatals appointed Willy Mutunga style and reporting the new professionals who will be appointed to CEO the Ministries. I can't wait.

This actually sounds like good news. The factors higlited to be responsible for reduced growth are changing for the better. Imagine next yr what growth will it have, seeing that the economy can only improve from now.
Kplc has set a target to connect 1 million more customers by 2015/2016...
I like the slow growth its sustainable.

Now its time for kplc to get some love, been ignored the whole year. While akina simba, memba n safari were getting all the love

Growth expected to be single-digit. No profit-warning scenarios proposed. good for a blue chip trading at P/E of 8

Kenya power is losing alot of revenue through its corrupt staff and city criminals who connect power illegally.a survey shows that 95% of slums are enjoying illegal power with the revenue going to cartels.its time to suck this corrupt staff.

19th of which month? Oct or Sept?

The heavy supply at 17.60 has finally disappeared, opening the way to 18 and above
