"Puma Energy will complete its due diligence on the Company this month. We expect the outcome of the due diligence and subsequent negotiations to be satisfactory. If so, Puma Energy may proceed with a transaction subject to applicable regulatory approvals, compliance with the Capital Markets Act, and price confirmation"

"Much progress has been made in the area of seeking regulatory approvals"

My friend, ignore the circus. This deal was concluded a long time ago.

BBI will solve it

Kesho, if KK doesn't touch 13.50, I will eat ... cake! I see 14 coming soon. Then the employees cases conclude. Then the 'price' is announced. Payout in Dec for a minimum of 17 (as the brokers have been saying)

@VVS #Rich - 11.09.2012 #in the same mind

KenolKobil traded 3.366m shares worth 44.118m and I reckon the Pull Back is over. They remain in a Discussion with the Trafigura Subsidiary Puma Energy with a View to a Buy Out and I think the Strategic Sense in that Transaction for Puma Energy [They are inserting themselves into what is becoming a Red Got Oil and Gas Space in East Africa] outweighs the Near Term Earnings Mis Hap and therefore I expect the Price to turn higher again as Investors figure what Trafigura might Pay and I think at the very minimum it is 17.68+.

Even Genghis Capital has now increased their fair value of KK to KES 16.90. CFCFS are now a lone ranger!

CMA earlier suspended KK when takeover intentions were made, this is the time to suspend if at, maybe insiders scared off with the loss to increase their holdings. CMA should come in like yesterday.

With this confirmation I officially change my stance on the crashing KK share price.. There will probably be a bounce back!

Don't be scared! Heck, KK was nice enough to tell shareholders that all is (almost) good!

The big boys have already scared off wanjikus into selling. They got in yesterday at 13.15 and today at 13.10 thanks to the 3.8B H1 "loss".
Now we head back up up up to 16.20!

Let's hope the regulators approve this deal chop chop. I'd hate to see further delays from the likes of nyoike & his pals. This is a multi-country deal & when the regulators elsewhere see Kenya's CMA or MoE blowing hot & cold, they will also start especially in Tanzania.

Anyway, all in all, every cloud has a silver lining. Let's hope this climbs to 17 & beyond soon! Applause Applause Applause Pray Pray Pray

And the latest trade was at 14/- Drool Drool Drool

OOPS! In my excitement, I forgot we had reserved this for QW. Anyway, the table below illustrates the interest in KK is back. Puma wants KK. Not at any price but a fair price. To grow KK (whether listed or private) needs Puma's access to financing, products & expertise.

At the right - high enough - price, shareholders should & will sell but there is a part that wants to stay in to enjoy the future of the Puma-KK group. They will dominate the fuel industry in East & Central Africa.
