I wonder if today KK will see it's usual late flurry of big trades...

How unpredictable today is and nerve racking.
I'm very surprised with the demand coming up to 14.00. I expected much worse. No one knows what'll happen.... i don't like this

Given this loss, Id say 17.00 to be a fair buyout price

With the recent discoveries i can never be scared holding kk

How does oil production in 5-6yrs help KK today??

Well it definately helps its price. Remember the stock market,as a barometer of the economy discounts future expectations(both positive & negative) & is therefore forward looking!
#stay invested

We once had the same discussion when there was oil discovery in UG. My opinion is that Segman with his noises previously rubbed off badly on the politic of the day and this whether we'd like to admit it or not will not go down well moving forward. My 2 cents on this is that it's now time that KK went back to splitting the chairman's and CEO's position ASAP(I know Segman has mentioned it but its something to be done now)and while at it making the chairman's position a non-executive one.

The saddest part is that even if the FX losses and the borrowing cost was removed, KK wuld still have made millions in losses(925M)

This oil business in kenya is turning out to be a nightmare if you consider Total's 257M loss.

I think our only option in the medium term is the buyout....

Indeed the huge loss has got to us. It has eaten KES 2.6 per share of our hard earned retained earnings. However, going forward is BRIGHT. H2 2012, KK will reverse a good portion of the damage done in H1 2012. That put into consideration, the fair buyout price should be >KES 20.

Bull are having a very bad time on this announcement. With KES 14 taken out and rolling down defenceless, bulls dont have a smile. But i do have a smile when i look forward.

Will pick the extreme fear smile

Boss utachomeka... Don't fight the trend. The KK cartoon trend momentum is strongly downwards!

I was waiting to see the sell momentum in the afternoon especially from foreigners. And they've played it as expected. KK is now entering a no demand period.

Open at 15.10 closed at 13.15 - down - 12.91%. Volume - 3M. Speculators are still trapped... Don't fight the trend.
