Amen to that. Give thanks for being able to do kawaida things in life like swallowing, breathing, peeing and even farting. There are some ugonjwas that can shika you and you wish you could give a million dollars just to be able to pee without incidence......Ask Nyong nyong.

I am grateful that all my body parts are in good working condition and that I can want,and taste, food, sleep soundly and have friends.

@Sarrouinya, she is no longer in pain. May God give you and yours peace beyond understanding at this trying time.Pray Pray

@sarouniya, Take heart,she's no longer hurting,she's just gotten to where we are all heading to.

I wonder whether there is something we are being feed here in Kenya. Cancer is everywhere and i refuse to take it as a result of changing lifestyle.
I lost my mom last to blood cancer. Her diet was predominantly "traditional" foods. The stuff you'd get straight from the farm onto the dinning table. No junk food, average weight, active as ever etc.
If the sort of cancer we are experiencing here is coz of changing lifestyles, would it not follow that US is doing worse than us?

@Sarrouinya,

There's pain in your loss; yet there's more gain from it. May you be strong at these moments of grief, and full of joy for her spirit still lives and continues to nourish more and more people.

Pole sana ndugu.
May the Good Lord grant you and the family comfort. Take heart and appreciate the moments you had together and all the good that she has done for the family.

@Sarrouinya take heart. The title of your post led me to this...

Attitude by Charles Swindoll
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.

And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes.
